It was the night after a big win and all through Green Bay, Packers defensive tackle Mike Daniels was looking to spread cheer a different type of way.

"Absolutely, and I know the kids are excited to be shopping with a bunch of winners. I'm excited for them. We are definitely going to have a lot of fun tonight,"  Daniels said.

But he wasn't alone, not even close. His trusty teammates showed up just in time to help give 50 kids the best night of their lives.

“Man we are excited to be here. It's about the kids, it's about the youth. I respect Mike D so much for doing this. It takes a lot to want to give back," said Ha Ha Clinton-Dix, Packers safety.

"These guys they look up to us, they cheer for us. To see their faces when they are shopping and just having fun, enjoying themselves, and shopping for mom and dad too is good,” said Josh Hawkins, Packers cornerback.

It's easy to forget these big guys have hearts, when we see them on Sundays taking down each opponent one by one.

"I don't think these types of stories get enough publicity. Thousands, hundreds of guys who give back to their communities," Daniels said.

So next time you sit down to cheer – ‘Go Pack Go’ – remember the guys on the field are just living their childhood dreams.

"Kids need to know that you can achieve your goals if you want to. Mike Daniels is a great example of that what a better way and a better role model to show the kids that they could do anything if they put their mind to it,” said Katie Hess, Executive Director for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northeastern Wisconsin.
